A Sunday at a flea market
Attracted by the typical historical Renaissance district, you may have chosen to rent a furnished apartment in the old town : “Vieux-Lyon”. If you like to take back home unusual souvenirs, the flea market is the place to find them !: ”Les Puces du Canal” (flea market) have been on for the last 50 years, every Sunday morning, at Villeurbanne, right outside Lyon. Second-hand dealers or ordinary citizens sell a wide variety of things, from antiques to paintings, clothes and furniture. To get a very good deal, the best is to get there at dawn. There is different ways to get there : by car, by bus n°7 or even riding a bike .
From the old town, it is a beautiful ride of 30 to 45 minutes along the river Rhône. Once there, before rummaging through the flea market, enjoy with the regular customers a delicious French breakfast made of warm croissant and a cup of coffee in one of the coffee shops.
