The « Musée cinéma et Miniature » is very closed from our accomodations, less than 50 meters.  It is located in the old town, the Vieux-Lyon district, which belongs to the U.N.E.S.C.O world heritage since 1998.

This museum is housed in a 16th century building. Even if you are not very keen on cinema special effects or in miniature scenes, take time to have a look at the building. It is famed with its Renaissance architecture.

On the fifth floors of this wonderful building, there are two collections

The miniature department 

The miniature scenes bring the visitor back into the 19th century daily life. This old epoque is miniaturised.

The visitor will see a typical silk factory, a steamtrain station, a classroom with the blackboard and chalks, a kitchen with a coalstove…..

So many ways of living which do not exist any more !
